About Southpaw Signs

Southpaw Sign Company has been bringing brands and visions to life on California's Central Coast since 1984. What started with traditional sign painting has grown into a full design-and-fabrication operation — but the same hands-on, craftsman-first approach still runs through everything we build. Sean, our proprietor, learned hand-gilding and gold leaf work in 1989 from renowned gold-leaf painter Rick Glawson. Larry Desario, our neon craftsman, has been bending tube for over 40 years. Between them — and the rest of our team — Southpaw has the kind of specialized, old-school expertise you can't pick up overnight.
We design, we create, we fabricate, all under one roof. Our shop in Oceano houses the equipment and the people to take a project from a sketch to a finished, installed sign: painting and gilding, a dedicated neon shop, dimensional carving and routing, metal and architectural fabrication, and our own service trucks for installation and repair. If you can dream it, we can build it.
